1. Empowered
Pole dancing can make you feel empowered because you are putting yourself out there in a way that can be considered taboo depending on where you live. So it feels good and empowering to break through the stigma surrounding pole. Sometimes our first impression of pole dance is what we see in exotic clubs. Although there is nothing wrong with exotic dancing, some may only view it this way. Pole can mean many different things to many different people and you have to be the judge, while being respectful of those who are already in the industry.
2. Confident
The reason pole dance makes you feel confident is because you realize very quickly how much work and effort it takes to basic pole. You become stronger as you continue and when you get stronger you also start to see physical changes within your body. If you look good you're going to feel good.
3. Scared
Your first class can be pretty scary and you may not know what to expect. Trying a new move for the first time can also be pretty scary. It can take some courage and coaching to help you push past that.
4. Frustrated
It can get really frustrating when you are trying to do a move and for some reason you just can't get it. It's also very frustrating when you cannot preform a move that you were able to do a week ago and all of sudden you can't. Your body may be tired from your workouts or you may need up your conditioning in between sessions.
5. Determined
You can be pretty determined to get a move that you are struggling to get. This can be really good but you need to know when you body needs to take a break to avoid injuries.
6. Strong
You'll feel really strong some days during regular every day activities like bringing in groceries or opening things like jars. You may not even be used to your new found grip and you will probably hold on to the pole way too tight at first and will have to adjust your grip as you get stronger depending on the move.
7. Weak
There are going to be days you cannot do anything physically or mentally but you may still need attend a class or train on your own. These days are still good for you to train but it may not optimal to do an intense workout. Rather take it easy and do a low impact or flexibility training.
8. Silly
Some moves just feel silly! You may be questioning yourself and what you're doing in a particular move. I would suggest to record yourself and review the video so you can make corrections. If it feels silly it will look silly. So try and shake out the sillys and try to feel like the bad B you are.
9. Obsessed
Some of us can get a bit obsessed with pole dancing. It can literally become a way of life for some people. From the shoes to the outfits to moves. Every thing becomes an obsession but it's an obsession that doesn't hurt anyone. Unless you're trying a new move and bruise right away.
10. Happy
Last but not least! Pole can really help you get those endorphins bumpin' and if you have adhd or mental illness. It can help release dopamine and serotonin! Not only does it help with good chemical releases from your brain it also makes you more confident. Pole dance can also make you feel more accomplished because you complete your fitness workout and sometimes you complete a new move in your session. All of these can contribute to making you happy but can also differ from person to person.
